FSX Default B737 Light under nosegear door

Featured Replies

The default B737-800 in FSX has a green anti-collision light fixed a few feet under the nose gear door. Does anyone know where to go to eliminate that? Thanks.

Is the light there when in flight, gear up and nose wheel door closed?  Are you saying this light is not affixed to the aircraft?  Sounds like you are describing an afterimage of the taxi light.  Can you show a screenshot?

Does your [lights] section in your aircraft.cfg look any different than this?

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 3, -24.20, -56.60,  3.90, fx_navredm ,
light.1 = 3, -24.20,  56.60,  3.90, fx_navgrem ,
light.2 = 2, -71.32,   0.00,  5.92, fx_strobeh ,
light.3 = 2, -25.00, -57.20,  4.20, fx_strobe ,
light.4 = 2, -25.00,  57.20,  4.20, fx_strobe ,
light.5 = 2,  -7.55,   0.00, -5.50, fx_beaconb ,
light.6 = 1,   2.00,   0.00,  8.70, fx_beaconh ,
light.7 = 4,  47.60,   0.00,  3.00, fx_vclighth ,
light.8 = 3, -29.50, -56.60,  3.70, fx_navwhih ,
light.9 = 3, -29.50,  56.60,  3.70, fx_navwhih ,

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Charlie... in flight, gear up, nose gear door closed. See below. This is just the Delta texture for the default B737-800 in FSX. The Microsoft default liveries show the same thing.

Okay Charlie, I just compared the [LIGHTS] section in my 737-800 and it's different than yours. Your lights go from .0 to .9 while my section goes to .10 and skips .7. ???? How does that happen when the only thing I did was add texture folders for additional liveries?

[LIGHTS]
light.0=3, -24.60, -57.50,  3.90, fx_navred ,
light.1=3, -24.60,  57.50,  3.90, fx_navgre ,
light.2=2, -71.32,   0.00,  5.92, fx_strobeh ,
light.3=2, -25.50, -58.30,  4.20, fx_strobeh ,
light.4=2, -25.50,  58.30,  4.20, fx_strobeh ,
light.5=2,  -7.55,   0.00, -5.50, fx_beaconb ,
light.6=1,   2.00,   0.00,  8.70, fx_beaconh ,

light.9=3, -29.00,  56.60,  3.70, fx_navwhi ,
light.10=6, 41.85,   0.00, -6.80, fx_navwhih,

Delete light.10 or put 2// in front like this //light.10=6xxxxxx

Looking at the coordinates of that light, it's placed just like you show in your shots.

Charlie...you rock, man!! Before seeing your last post, I copied the lights section in your earlier post and pasted that into my aircraft.cfg. Everything looks normal now, so thank you so much!!

Glad to be able to help you get if fixed!:biggrin:

Thanks, but to tell the truth, I have this dart board on the wall near my computer desk with little notes in the spaces with fixes.  I will toss the dart over my shoulder and wherever it lands is my "best guess"!:laugh:
