March 7, 20188 yr I have a bit yes. Not specifically relating to this issue but just purely out of curiosity to know why dynamic lighting had such a big impact on framerate. I just went ahead to check, you can definitely lower the "MAX_LIGHTS_PER_TILE" variable. Just putting an arbitrary value to test and you will see it screws everything up if too many lights share a single tile. It's obviously not configurable as you said because it doesn't render lights properly if that limit is busted.
