March 19, 20188 yr I haven't found any Hobbs meter or other device for recording engine/flight time. Did I miss it or maybe it is part of some other gauge. It's obviously not a big deal but something that has piqued my curiosity Just wondering how that would work for recording maintenance intervals if that was true in real world use. Any thoughts? March 19, 20188 yr Moderator Ken Stallings never had one in his C310R, so ours doesn't either. Ken has to keep meticulous hand-written maintenance logs on paper in order to track these important parameters. Fr. I guess I would have thought that Hobbs info would be required for FAA inspections and accident investigating teams. Live and learn. March 19, 20188 yr Author Thanks Bill. That is very interesting. I always assumed it was required as well; but when I realized there was none in this one I looked up the Required Equipment sections of the FAR's. Sure enough I could find no such requirement. Ken must have had some pretty thick logbooks!
