MCE version upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi - I have created custom flows etc.

I want to update MCE to the latest version.

I will go into control panel and uninstall MCE.

Should I backup my custom flows before executing the new downloaded install file ?.

Your custom flows are typically saved to \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\MyVoicescripts\.... folder.

You won't lose them following an upgrade.

Also, when a flow with a specific trigger sentence exists inside one of those subfolders it never gets overwritten, even when you reset MCE to factory settings.

Only backup to cover the case of failed hard drive altogether.

Do not edit the checklists we ship directly inside MCE installation folder. Those files will go when you un-install.

Instead, copy one of them you intend to edit, paste it somewhere else, make whatever changes you want and assign it as your custom checklist
