March 30, 20188 yr Moderator Bill, Yours is the first report of error 48. Without more info I can't assist. Is this a new installation? What OS? Did RC4 work okay before this? March 30, 20188 yr Author Ray, Thanks, I searched on it with no luck. It's a new install of RC4 on windows 10 64bit which I upgraded from windows 7 a couple of years ago. RC 4 has never been installed on this cpu. After resolving the 713 issues, I uninstall/reinstalled rc4, hoping that would clear the runtime error. Bill Moore
March 30, 20188 yr Moderator Bill, At what point does the error message appear? When launching RC4 or when loading a flight plan? Bedtime here so I'll pick up any reply tomorrow. March 31, 20188 yr See if this older error list helps gives a clue: " Error in loading DLL (Error 48) The specified dynamic-link library (DLL) can't be loaded. This is usually because the file specified with the Lib clause in the Declare statement is not a valid DLL. Possible causes for this error are: The file is not DLL-executable. The file is not a Microsoft Windows DLL. The file is an old Microsoft Windows DLL that is incompatible with Microsoft Windows protect mode. The DLL references another DLL that is not present. The DLL or one of the referenced DLLs is not in a directory specified by your path." Is this dll present and registered?
March 31, 20188 yr Author Ray The error occurs when I launch the executable. Ronzie The error does not specify which DLL is causing the problem. I have RC4 running on an older machine with wind10 installed. it works fine. I will try to copy dll's from that machine to see if it works. tks Bill Moore
March 31, 20188 yr http://support.mccpilotlog.net/support/solutions/articles/9864-windows-pc-run-time-error-48-error-loading-dll has a link to add to the registry DAO360 key only or try this for either installing or just getting the .dll. Search on Google and there is another version for 64 bit. "https://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/D/dao360.dll/03.60.8618.0/download.html Back up your registry before modifying.
March 31, 20188 yr Author Ronzie, I tried both recommendations. No joy. It's getting late. will try again in the morning. bill Bill Moore
March 31, 20188 yr Moderator I'm out of ideas, sorry. If you can't resolve it then an email to Doug Thompson for official support is probably best.
