Ability to save charts to P2A DB

Featured Replies

Hey Dave,

I realize this is probably not possible right now, from looking at the manual.  But as a future feature, it would be nice if there were a way for us to 'import' charts that are missing in the TERPS window, in some form like pdf so that the they show up using the standard access mechanism (entering ICAO, and then selecting the appropriate button diagram, appr, etc).  I think you're just pulling in the charts from the web somewhere on demand for the ones that are there now? I realize we can currently just open them via the open button from somewhere on the DB, but it would be nice if we could import them, and save them as the appropriate type for future use. (Kind of like we can update the taxiways and gates db info).

Joe,

You can open any pdf stored on your local disc in the TERPs window.

So I would recommend setting up a folder somewhere for charts and then under that folder have a folder for each airport you want to save charts for.  So it might look like

C:P2ACharts

.....EGLL

.....EDDT

.....etc

Then you can navigate using the Open button and easily get to charts that you have downloaded in PDF format from the web.
