HTAI Models - Cessna Single Engine Props???

Featured Replies

Hi guysHave you seen this product, and is it worth the $$$?Looks neat to me...http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=613I have had a resurgence of interests in GA and small airports and this seems to look nice. Just wish I knew more info or had a report from a user.thanks,Eric T

Yep, I have it and LOVE it. Henry does great work and has given so much to the community for free, it was a no brainer to support him on this and then to see what a great package it is. Even though it is complete with flightplans, I simply installed them and used GA Traffic generator to set up flights to all the airports, great stuff and highly recommended.Don't know about the site you linked to, but here is the main sitehttp://htaimodels.com/projects.htmlRegards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg

Thanks for your reply. I guess this is the next question-I understand that this product has pre-defined flight plans for the AI a/c to follow and show the a/c parked and tied down as well. Does the package install the a/c at most/all GA airports or do I have to use another utility. I already use Ultimate Traffic for Commercial aircraft. The site link you gave shows awesome business AI a/c and I wonder how well they perform on a moderate system such as mine:AMD 2800XP1 Gig 2700 RAMGeforce 6600GT 128 RAMWindows XP HomeThanks,

Yes, I wanted to know about the addon as well... Looks fantastic... How is it on frame rates? What kind of hit does one take (%age-wise)?

I have this and haven't noticed any drop in frame rates...I've got lots of Cessna single engine planes now, in a broad variety of liveries.I use Markus Brunner's GA-Traffic, which is freeware and does a terrific job.

I see no performance hit with this combined with all my AIA and FSP AI heavies. Since I don't use the included flightplans, I can't comment on where they are. All of Henry's aircraft are made specifically for AI and look and perform very well, so performance hits will never be an issue. The tie downs and chocks, are a nice touch!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg

The flight plans were created with GA Traffic Maker, with a lot of customization, and do not over-utilize the default FS2004 GA airports. It also will not fill up your major commercial airports with Cessna's. Smart flight plans.Excellent work on a fantastic series of models, flight dynamics and an amazing variety of repaints for the aircraft by many of the best in the field. All repaints were based on real world aircraft.Probably the best AI money any of us have spent.Very highly recommended.

Let me add my support for this product. Henery's models look good and are very good on frame rates. Obviously if you have your traffic slider up to 100% you'll see a hit but that goes for all AI traffic. Highly recommended.

Greetings,Ok, bought the package, installed, restarted FS9 .... nada. I see no new planes, nothing tied down, no repaints, nada. I am so tired of seeing the endless array of crappy Caravans and cheezy Cherokees that I was really looking forward to this. What did I do wrong? I am also running Ultimate Traffic, could that be a factor? Please advise - thanks,AT

First thing I'd do is check that the relevant files are present. Look in your aircraft folder and you should have a whole list of aircraft with the 'HTAI cessna' prefix. Then look in your fs9/scenery/world/scenery folder and you should have a bgl called 'Traffic_HTAI_CSEP.bgl'. If all that is present, make sure you have your traffic slider up and GA traffic (VFR) checked and go to an airport that is likely to have GA traffic. Also make sure you have third party AFCADS installed which will increase parking spaces. Good luck!

All of the above is true, planes in the aircraft folder, scenery file in place, traffic at 100%. I even went to Van Nuys airport, probably the busiest GA airport in the country. This is really getting strange, not only were there no new AI planes to be seen, but there was no traffic at all on the ground at Van Nuys.I even uninstalled and re-installed, same problem.Hope this gets solved soon.

Airtime,As Ismet mentioned, you may need some 3rd party AFCADs to provide enough parking spaces to see these aircraft. If there isn't a parking space available at both ends of the AI aircraft's flight, it won't display at all. The primary reason I use GA-Traffic to generate my AI plans is that it looks at the AFCADs I actually have, so I always get really good results. The places where I don't have any GA AI traffic are always the places where the AFCAD has fewer than half a dozen parking spots.

Yep, you will need new AFCAD files as the default only has a total of 14 parking spots at Van Nuys, half of them for heavys. This will probably apply to most airports as well. I'm using the AFCADS that came with ultimate traffic, so that helps.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg

There was not even a README file in the download .... anywayI have Ultimate Traffic and I thought that I had installed everything that the program had to offer. I just went and ran UT again and clicked the UPDATE and clicked the 2004 AFCAD box. It only seemed to install a few files and a couple it said they already existed. So, that leads me to believe that I have all the UT AFCADs installed. However, I don't really understand AFCADs and scenery files that much, so I could have done something wrong. I certainly hope I don't have to go searching for, and installing single AFCAD files for all the airports in FS9.Still searching for an answer, thanks to all that are trying to help resolve this.AT

The reason that it's not stated that you need any 3rd party AFCADS, is that it is not a necessity. Henry has no idea what other AI you have installed if any, everyone is different and there are many different AI configurations. If you have 43 AI flights to an airport in your flightplans and only 5 parking spots, then you are going to miss some aircraft. It takes 2 seconds to add a parking spot in AFCAD.As I stated, I am using UT and I still have a stock Van Nuys AFCAD and only see a few GA aircraft.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg
