May 3, 20188 yr i'm a casual player of FSX currently training and enjoying the game I don't know if this question has been asked here already but, I want to know if it is possible to have a local co-pilot. By local co-pilot I mean a friend that sits besides me, in real life, and also control the planes functions (maybe even by using his own HOTAS system). I've been messing around with woodworking recently and I thought that build a cockpit for a plane, like so many people have, would be a good challenge. All i want to know is if I can have a friend beside me so I can make a cockpit for two people or if I should make a cockpit just for myself. thanks in advance!
May 3, 20188 yr Administrators I know that by using multiplayer, that would be you on one computer and your friend on another computer, both in the multiplayer program running similar FSX programs and flying the same aircraft, one can be the pilot and the other be the copilot. I think that's called "Shared Cockpit"! Don't think it can be done on the same system unless you pass your joystick over to him and change the panel to copilot's view. Let's see what others say about this! Welcome to the AVSIM forums.😄 Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. May 4, 20188 yr I have a Cessna 182 cockpit with dual FFB yokes and rudder pedals/ brakes, and Cessna seats. My co-pilot can also control and work any of the functions of the plane. Bill Davis
