May 5, 20188 yr Hi Dave, Went to go set up a flight today, and the app (2.5.0.2) seems to be locked up. It's 100% reproducible for me at least. I have to kill the app with task manager to restart it. My steps are: 1) Run P2Atc 2) Click add waypoint, enter KLAS 3) Click add waypoint, enter KLAX 4) Click add SID, enter runway 26R, SID Boach8, Transition RICKII. 5) Click load. At this point the SID window closes, but the app is locked up. I am using the latest navigraph airac 1805. Contents of the log when it's locked up: Program StartedPilot 2 ATC (P2A) - version 2.5.0.2_x64 05/04/2018 17:19:14 Application frmP2AMain starting 05/04/2018 17:19:37 Loading Form Main form opened: Pilot2ATC 2018 v. 2.5.0.2_x64 Navigraph - AIRAC cycle: 1805 Loading Joystick Devices - 05/04/2018 17:19:37 Joystick Device: Mouse - Mouse Joystick Device: Keyboard - Keyboard Joystick Device: T.Flight Hotas X - Joystick Loading Joystick Devices - 05/04/2018 17:19:37 Joystick Device: Mouse - Mouse Joystick Device: Keyboard - Keyboard Joystick Device: T.Flight Hotas X - Joystick Loading Joystick Devices - 05/04/2018 17:19:37 Joystick Device: Mouse - Mouse Joystick Device: Keyboard - Keyboard Joystick Device: T.Flight Hotas X - Joystick Loading Joystick Devices - 05/04/2018 17:19:37 Joystick Device: Mouse - Mouse Joystick Device: Keyboard - Keyboard Joystick Device: T.Flight Hotas X - Joystick Loading Map Control LoadMapControl: panel 1 Creating ucMap1 SQLiteVersion: 3.8.11.1 | 2015-07-29 20:00:57 cf538e2783e468bbc25e7cb2a9ee64d3e0e80b2f | INTEROP_CODEC INTEROP_EXTENSION_FUNCTIONS INTEROP_VIRTUAL_TABLE NET_40 PRELOAD_NATIVE_LIBRARY THROW_ON_DISPOSED TRACE TRACE_PRELOAD TRACE_SHARED TRACE_WARNING USE_PREPARE_V2 WINDOWS ucMap1 Created ucMap DockFill set. Seems locked up though. Thanks, Joe
May 5, 20188 yr Author I restarted my computer to make sure sql server wasn't locked up or anything under the covers. same problem though after reboot. It's not just those specific airports/sids. I tried KROC and KJFK as well, and it's locked up on those too. Joe
May 5, 20188 yr Author Strangely, if i do things in a different order, it doesn't lock up. Order that works: 1) launch app 2) add waypoint: KLAS 3) add waypoint: KLAX 4) Add STAR: Runway 25R, STAR ANJLL2, Transition SHTNR 5) Add SID: Runway 26R, SID BOACH8, Transition RIKII All points are added and i can continue. May 5, 20188 yr Author Aha! I know what it is lol. This may have something to do with your new TOD code you mentioned that went into this update. The last flight i did, had a cruise altitude of FL380. So when i added the start airport of KLAS this time, it auto populated the cruise altitude of FL380. When selecting the sid first after entering the two airports it locks up. If i first change the cruise altitude to FL300, and then enter the airports, then the SID it works fine. So i think maybe you're spinning trying to figure out how to ascend to that altitude or something? I think that's too high for this flight anyway. Anyway, i verified this is the problem by doing this: 1) Launch App 2) Set Cruise altitude to FL300 3) Add airports KLAS, KLAX 4) Add sid (26R, Boach8, Rikii), all points are entered, no lockup 5) Change cruise altitude to FL380. App locks up here. Joe
May 5, 20188 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the investigative work Joe. I'll check the new code and see why it's locking up instead of just giving an error message. Dave Update: Found and fixed the problem for the next update. Edited May 5, 20188 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
