PMDG Operations Center won't update my 737 to 1.20.8465

Featured Replies

So I keep getting this notification that an update is available. I click "OK", and it tells me that the update is ongoing but some black window just shows up and disappears. And Operations Center tells me that my 737 is not yet updated. I've been trying to update it for a few months now but for some reason I can't. The notification does not do anything and just shows up every time I open Operations Center.

How do I update it? Should I uninstall/reinstall the 737 or...?

Welcome to the forums, please note that PMDG requires that users include a signature block with the user's name, first and last, in all posts in the PMDG forum.
Failure to include a signature will result in removal of the post without comment.

We strongly encourage users to set up a signature block in their AVSim user account, then you never have to worry to remember in the future!

It sounds that you do not have a recent version installed in your system. Download the latest installer from your account, uninstall and reinstall with the new one.

Okay thanks.

Well my version is 1.10.641. I'm not sure if that would be recent or not.

Also I tried to download the installer from my account but the download link does not work and instead just links me back to my account.

Without seeing logs it would be guessing. Please open a ticket and will look at it.

The minimum version for the NGX is 1.20.8413. Your 1.1 version is incredibly old, even by the old installer/servicepack standards.

As far as the installer issue goes, be sure you're logging in, clicking View Previous Orders, and downloading from your order page. Trying to go back to the Service Updates page will kick you out of the account area, asking you to log back in (the service updates page also notes that you are not supposed to return to it immediately above the link to log in).

The minimum version for the NGX is 1.20.8413. The minimum for the 777-200LR/F is 1.10.8414. In your case, it might be that your anti-virus program is getting overly aggressive. As much as I usually trash anti-virus programs for getting overly aggressive, a product updater reaching out to the internet and downloading a bunch of files is similar looking to classic Trojan virus behavior. It obviously isn't in our case, but to an AV program, it'll look a bit suspicious.
