May 6, 20188 yr Hello, I fly only the PMDG 737 NGX in FSX. I am aware that in FSX moving around the world can alter the viewpoint of a set point in the cockpit. I set up my cockpit camera presets at RWY 25 at KLAX. I have had a chance to do only very limited use of the program. I have discovered that the when I start the sim the presets are properly set no matter where I choose to start at that airport, ie the runway where I set them up or at some gate at KLAX. But when I did a pushback from the gate at KLAX, [using GSX] I I noted that the preset positions changed so much from that short roll, that they were almost unusable, and remained that way, so I had to exit. Cycling back to the views in question left them still off center. Yet when I launch a saved flight, I can fly from Ventura to KLAX and yes the camera presets are a little off initially but they do not alter further over 100 + miles of flying. So I wonder what there is about pushing back from a gate that would cause this to occur? Chaseplane has many more settings than my previous camera program OPUS where I do not recall pushback altering preset positions, and I wonder if somehow the effects which move the camera do not allow it to re-center properly leading to this issue, or that there is some setting in the preset preferences that I need to tick to avoid this . Beyond that I wonder how folks in general cope with this issue of geographical change in eyepoint that makes the HUD no longer centered, or panels off center because of a change to a different locality from the place where the presets were created. Having to reset the camera for each starting location seems like a lot of work. Perhaps a way to make a temporary change to the preset for a given flight? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg Greg Clark
