Aerosoft Lukla for $15

Wished I would have waited cause thats about wat its worth. I have no mesh in the area and followed all the suggestions but gave up on it. Still fall through the runway to often, the mountain still swallows up most the ramp. The other 2 runways are so jagged and rough that only a few planes can land there.

you have to touch beyond the numbers. and it also depends on the kind of plane that you are flying. Not all aircrafts can land there for real and in the sim.I have been landing the Caranado 206. Managed to Land the dreemfleets Baron. It was tough...but eventually got it.If you want the challenge of flying by the numbers like in a real aircraft, this scenery is terrific. But it is tough and challenging. No doubt about that.Manny

Ive tried shoe horning just about all my planes into the smallest most dangerous strips out there.I got Islands of the West Indies and St Barts is one of the toughest.I am all for extreme flying and love a challenge. However falling through a invisble runway into the third dimension kinda ruins it. On the other runway just north of Lukla I sometimes have my planes tail sink into the ground and taxi around doing a wheelie.I do not feel Im trying to conquer a strip or push my abilty but rather trying to cheat fs9 into doing something its not supposed to do.To anyone out there who loves bush flying and like to push the ragged edge of performance, warts and all I still reccomend Lukla.

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking at this since the Avsim review. Not sure how much flying I will do out of there, but it looks to interesting to pass up. Anyway, my first attempts with the scenery left numerous Cessna 182s scattered around the mountainside. I too kept sinking through the runway. Hitting the right spot is not easy. What are some other good planes to try? I was using the Carenado 182 RG. It seemed ok enough for the job. I was thinking of getting the 206 anyway, so that might be worth a try. Any other good planes to try? Taking off from the airport is amazing. It is almost like a cat shoot off an aircraft carrier (albeit a very, very long carrier that is at almost 10,000 feet) :)

The Ferrari of stol, bush and extreme landings is the Flight 1 Pilatus. The old school Pilatus from FSD has almost helicopter ability. I can land that plane is someones yard. I prefer the Flight 1 as the fsd Pilatus is just so slooow.
