June 28, 200619 yr Hey guys,I usually have no probs with FS9, besides framerates but I recently joined Eastern VA and with my first assignment into KSFO, FS9 crashed. Tried the same flight again, and it crashed again. My FS9 originally had ultimate traffic installed and a few sceneries, mostly from fly tampa, as well as RC4. At that time I never experienced any problems. I recently picked up MyTraffic and FSpassengers. Then I used Eastern's VA traffic installer which only added eastern flights to the MyTraffic traffic. FSpax worked fine, but the demo does limit you to KSFO, which may have been a problem?Anyway, not sure what caused a problem. Tried to give you the last few installs I made to try and locate a problem. I am reformatting my whole system as it needs it. I was going to do it anyway but this prompted me to start.Any suggestions for reinstalling everything, something i should avoid..? thanksdan

June 29, 200619 yr Author One suggestion:IF you do reinstall FS9, immediately after installation make a backup copy of all critical folders and files for future use. I simply copied "Microsoft Games" and renamed it "Microsoft Games Original Defaults".This sure makes it easier to troubleshoot a bad file by going back to the cardinal files or folders and by a process of elimination find the culprit IMHO.Happy flying:RTH
