You just can't trust in what you are buying. No quality assurance, and you might be installing pirated software. They are off my shopping list too.Rob
July 2, 200619 yr Unfortunately not all of us have that option. I don't have a CC nor do I want one, and SimMarket is to my knowledge the only FlightSim software store online that accepts bank transfers within EU borders (meaning, bank transfers are free) as payment.
July 2, 200619 yr Jon Murchison, Matthias Lieberecht was a mistake which has been forgiven from both above names. Len Hickman has granted me to use his files. e-mail him if you don't beleive me. And before posting such lies on a forum e-mail in this case me first to ask me why. In this case there is no why. I have not broken any copyrights which Len owns. Ask him if I have the permission or not.
July 2, 200619 yr I was a noobie when I made the mistake with Mathias Liberech...but that is the only mistake
July 2, 200619 yr If Simmarket knew this they would not have aproved it. But the case with len is the issue which is cilling me. I have his permission. A written permission.
July 3, 200619 yr The owner of Simmarket has emailed me claiming that the authors have not contacted him. If that is the case, I apologize for saying otherwise. I was going by what I had read in the other thread.Sidney Schwartz KPDX

And>before posting such lies on a forum e-mail in this case me>first to ask me why.It is not a lie that you had originally used his objects in your scenery without agreeing to his terms of use. You apparently didn't even read his terms of use and were unaware of them until he contacted you. That is no one's fault but yours.>In this case there is no why. I have not>broken any copyrights which Len owns. Ask him if I have the>permission or not.Yes, you do now. At the time this thread was started, you didn't. If the author hadn't been alerted and contacted you, would you have remained clueless and your product would have been sold anyway.Sidney Schwartz KPDX
July 3, 200619 yr >I was a noobie when I made the mistake with Mathias>Liberech...but that is the only mistakeNo, it was not the only mistake, as you yourself just said...>Jon Murchison, Matthias Lieberecht was a mistake which has>been forgiven from both above names. You also made a mistake with Len, though at least that one got straightened out before that scenery was actually being sold.Frankly, I find it remarkable that even a "noobie" would not realize that incorporating someone else's work into your own and then selling it would be improper, if not illegal. Before you embark upon your scenery career, you might want to become more familiar with the basics of copyright law.You might also want to look at some examples of scenery that is well done, because yours, in my opinion, is awful and not worth paying for. Good luck, you'll need it.Sidney Schwartz KPDX

I've done a lot of scenery and the layout is the easy part, it's making the objects that takes work and some talent. As for Simmarket, it should be their responsibility to verify quality control before posting any file for resale.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg Best, Michael KDFW
