P3D Installer Paths

Featured Replies

I didn't really know what title to put on this but I've got a small problem while installing P3D v4. The first time I installed P3D v4 (which was a couple hours ago) I came across a problem regarding the lack of drive space. Upon opening the installer I come to find that it was trying to install some other packages on my C:\ drive which contains the OS and other programs (such as web browsers, Office365, Python, etc.). I cancelled the installation and then tried to look for the remaining files that it had downloaded on my C:\ drive as the remaining files took up quite a lot of space, but never found anything of the sort.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to where they could be including the paths?

Cheers for helping!

Hi, if you have cancelled the installation, then the installer "should have" deleted any files that it had already installed. So in theory you would not be able to find them.

Ah alright, I might have to go snooping around for a large file that's taking up most of my space. The Client Installer did come up with an error message because of the small amount of space while writing things on my C:\ drive which made me think that there's some downloaded files that weren't deleted. I have been snooping around in my File Explorer trying to find something in my C:\ drive but I've found nothing.

Did you also post in the LM forum?  The LM System Specifications for P3Dv4 require 15 GB on the c:\ system drive regardless of where you install P3D (where it will require 40 GB as a minimum).

Yeah I did, I was quite stupid for not reading the installation forums and by the time I found out the installer came up with the error message regarding the low disk space in my C:\ drive

Actually don't worry. I'll go for a fresh install for Windows because I do have quite a lot of junk.
