"Emergency situation" feature ... it will be nice to add

Featured Replies

Hi Dave

I use your product a lot, but we want some more excitement, it tried to look for that feature in the documentation, but couldn't find it.

Is there a way to have "emergency situation", like reporting "mayday", "declaring emergency", "request victors to nearest tower" or " rejected takeoff" when a failure occur on the airplane, or even "sick passenger on board, request returning back" .

Is it possible?

Thanks

Wail,

No, there is not support for emergencies.

You can locate the nearest airport suitable for landing and request vectors for a straight-in or other approach type at that airport, simulating a diversion due to an engine out or other emergency.  You do have to specify the desired runway and airport identifier in the call to ATC, something like:

"American 243 request vectors for the ILS approach to runway 25 right at Kilo Foxtrot Whiskey Sierra".

Thanks Dave for the reply, this will do for now.

It would be nice to add those features in future updates

Long time ago it was all there on x plane 9.70 the controller was always on your position to make you do something and if you had an emergency you let him know and he would direct you to the nearest airport close to you but it was the good time x plane not so fancy but working right.I still fly the v9 sometime and loving it.
