733 panels

Featured Replies

Morning all.I'm none too good at this techie stuff, but I was wondering if the Library holds a replacement (read better) panel for the default MS 733?I'm assuming that someone has produced a more realistic 733 panel to replace the MS one, but to be honest I'm not too sure about what half the guff in the Library is trying to tell me.So....I guess I'm asking for help with locating this panel/s, and for reasons mentioned above it needs to be idiot-proof to install etc, if it exists.Mucking around with .cfg files and deleting/saving/morphing/altering existing files myself within FS is not desirable. Too thick to fix it if I screw it up!If anyone can help, or has any suggestions they'd be greatly appreciated.CheersTimNZWN

I thought the default 737 was a -400! If I were you, I'd just get the 737 Pilot in Command (see Avsim's review at http://www.avsim.com/pages/0206/737PIC/737PIC.htm ) which includes the 733, 734 and 735 - all of the 'Second Generation' 737's, if you are willing to pay!I don't know about any good freeware ones, although 737 panels - more specifically 732's - have been a topic of extensive search for me. If you want an earlier 737, the 737-200, then go to www.skyvirtual.cl, bearing in mind that you need to speak Spanish to understand the site and extensive documentation. If you want, then visit my as-yet unfinished website at http://maximum-climb.atspace.com and e-mail one of the Maximum Climb... staff members, who will be happy to tranlate it for you - altogether, we speak English, Chinese, French, Spanish and Italian!Having said all that, I'll sum it up; I haven't a clue where to get a freeware version, but try the 737PIC or an earlier 737.

Thanks Jacob, you're right. It was early morning here when I wrote that.....But the question remains...I've looked at the PIC, but not allowed to spend another cent on FS for a while!CheersTim

Tim,Yes, the default 737 is a model 400. If interested on the B737-200, here's info from a posting by a real pilot rated on B737-200s. His handle is Amtran618 in another popular flight simulator site. The freeware Tinmouse 737-200 panel is available at the sites belowhttp://www.fs2000.org/panel2k/news.asp?id=956http://www.fsimcafe.com/Downloads/ShowDown...?ProductID=1488The panel only works correctly with the 737-200 plane from the site belowThe plane the panel was designed for use withhttp://www.flightxpress.de/files/0105/Flug...l_Sol_N92SN.zipThe updated airfile for that planehttp://www.flightxpress.de/files/0105/Flug...ffx2_fs2004.zipGreat sound set for the -200http://www.flightxpress.de/files/0105/Flug..._040210.snd.zipYou may need FSSound.dll also, http://pwdt.virtualskies.net/download/FSSound.dllFor a B737-300 free panel, suggest the one here: http://www.pspanels.co.uk/. Scroll down the page. Hope this helps.Dave Vega

My Files in the AVSIM Library

Hey Allblack.I can recommend heartily the tinmouse 737-200. Its easy enough to install and is a nice panel. There is also a good Air-NZ old colours paint for it. Its just right for flying in and out of Queenstown! have a look here for a great video to set the scene:http://www.airsidetv.com/main/main.aspIf you need a hand getting hold of the files or the install I can zip up my installed setup assuming you have broadband.PM me if needed. If you do find the cash then the PIC 733 is great. It`s a good handflyer as well as fmc etc. IMHO it has the best jetliner sound package I have heard to date. There is an AirNZ livery for it, but its not great - the text is wrong..CheersJames

Thanks guys!Off to have a nosey.CheersTim

Best panel IMHO for B737-300 up to the 500 is the freeware panel by Florian Kreuzer : Panel All Boeings The Ultimate Boeing Panel Florian KreuzerDo a search on Avsim or flightcom on Florian Kreuzer. If you want to have to see the Garmin 530 which is include in the panel you need the freeware by Realty XP, otherwise take it out.========================================================================Ken Mitchell also had a very nice B737-200 panel, but his site is out of simming world. Maybe somone could send it to you. Since this is freefreeware, I presumme it is not ilegal to do so.Unfortunately Ken Mitchell withdrew from the hobby.-----------------------------------------------------------------------You can also do a search for Paul Scarrat he also has a very nice freeware panels for the classic B737 starting with the 300:B737 Classic 300-400-500 PS panels FreewarePS737_ChecklistsEdmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela pilot.gif
