July 5, 20187 yr Hi, I have FSX Professional Edition, and yesterday I bought a SSD drive for my PC with Windows 10. The problem is, yesterday I tried to install FSX as a new program - since all what I had on my old HDD was deleted - and, after what seems a successfully installation, I tried to use it. But if I start a mission flight or I just click on "Free flight" in the top-left menu FSX crashes without any warning/error message. So I tried to launch the Event Viewer, eventvwr.exe and it has reported an error. This is the report: Register name: Application Origin: Application Error Date: 05/07/2018 10:28:24 Event ID: 1000 Task category:(100) Level: Error Keyword: Classic User: N/D Computer: DESKTOP-74I4JVP Description: Application name that generated the error: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.60905.0, timestamp: 0x44fd0a92 Module name that generated the error: API.DLL, version: 10.0.60905.0, timestamp: 0x44fd0f33 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Error Offset 0x0002c247 Process ID that generated the error: 0x1300 Application's start hour that generated the error: 0x01d414397ba0f124 Application's directory that generated the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Module's directory that generated the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\API.DLL ID report: a03452fb-9dda-43db-b435-35fce12c06d8 Complete packet's name that generated the error: Application ID related to the packet that generated the error: XML event <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2018-07-05T08:28:24.086994700Z" /> <EventRecordID>696</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>DESKTOP-74I4JVP</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.60905.0</Data> <Data>44fd0a92</Data> <Data>API.DLL</Data> <Data>10.0.60905.0</Data> <Data>44fd0f33</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>0002c247</Data> <Data>1300</Data> <Data>01d414397ba0f124</Register name: Application Origin: Application Error Date: 05/07/2018 10:28:24 Event ID: 1000 Task category:(100) Level: Error Keyword: Classic User: N/D Computer: DESKTOP-74I4JVP Description: Application name that generated the error: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.60905.0, timestamp: 0x44fd0a92 Module name that generated the error: API.DLL, version: 10.0.60905.0, timestamp: 0x44fd0f33 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Error Offset 0x0002c247 Process ID that generated the error: 0x1300 Application's start hour that generated the error: 0x01d414397ba0f124 Application's directory that generated the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Module's directory that generated the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\API.DLL ID report: a03452fb-9dda-43db-b435-35fce12c06d8 Complete packet's name that generated the error: Application ID related to the packet that generated the error: XML evento: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2018-07-05T08:43:20.490077600Z" /> <EventRecordID>767</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>DESKTOP-74I4JVP</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.60905.0</Data> <Data>44fd0a92</Data> <Data>API.DLL</Data> <Data>10.0.60905.0</Data> <Data>44fd0f33</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>0002c247</Data> <Data>39ec</Data> <Data>01d4143c0e04aafc</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\API.DLL</Data> <Data>39516170-b62f-4d8e-bbf2-2443fb819997</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event>Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\API.DLL</Data> <Data>a03452fb-9dda-43db-b435-35fce12c06d8</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event> I have translated the report manually from Italian, so I apologize if something is not like a report in English. Anyway, I hope this can help, because I'm worried I couldn't use FSX for a lot, lot of time.
