Xplane11's default night lighting is incredible, so realistic.  And there is no better place to show it off than flying over the LA basin with millions of twinkling lights.  My first general aviation flight was a night flight over the San Francisco Bay Area out of Napa with a high school friend, who is still a Facebook buddy today.  I was at the airport with another friend, he saw us, and said "wanna go up?"   Who could refuse such a question.  We soared over the north bay, over San Francisco's Pier 39, watching the fog along the coast in the distance on the moonlit night.  The air was calm and the ride felt like that of a jet at altitude, smooth as glass, as we made our way back to a beautiful night landing on runway 18R in Napa, where clicks of the radio turned on the runway lights.  It was 1979, a night I have not forgotten, three friends who loved flying, one with the night.

The last but one shot with the sparkle is especially nice and a perfectly timed shot against the backdrop!
