Great backdrop for the A10.  In 1980, I was at Bradley Intl airport near Hartford Connecticut helping with the Air Museum we were opening there.  We walked up to one of the taxiways and an A10 taxied by, looking so big as it rolled on by us.  Then we walked out near the runway to watch a 747 take off over our heads.  We were allowed there, on the airport grounds, because of our work with the museum.

These museums are always interesting places to visit. I noticed this place has a very diverse collection of aircraft, including, interestingly, an A-10A Warthog in restoration. I had a chance to visit the Airline History museum while in KC. It had just received the Constellation, and, I believe, they had done restoring it. I was early and I got an exclusive (guided) tour on board the aircraft with a volunteer gentleman (a former Connie Captain). He explained everything in detail including the use of celestial navigation equipment (and now, we've LNAV/VNAV!). It was rather fascinating.
