GTN 750 Nav Data Out Of Date

Featured Replies

Hi,

Speaking of the genuine Reality XP GTN 750/650 Touch for X-Plane (and for FltSim for that matter), you're not stuck to older trainers nor older databases.

First, our product is compatible with more recent trainers than v6.21, including v6.41, v6.41.1, v6.50 and we're about to release a new update compatible with newly released GTN trainer v6.50.1.

Not only you'll get VNAV mode (and can still use VCALC), but you'll also get the capability to make any user waypoint an 'airport', to have vertical profile guidance, to have visual approach vertical guidance (kind of a VFR LPV), many bug fixes in the trainer itself and many other features only available in the RXP GTN.

Since GTN Trainer v6.50, you'll also get a new DB cycle 1803!

You can read a list of our recent release notes here:

NB: there is no need to be a customer to read both the good and the bad comments on our forums, we've nothing to hide, it is all public access.

Having said this, I agree with you it would be great to have a DB update solution, affordable and ubiquitous for our customers. I've already said in our forums I'll personally have a closer look at this once we're done releasing our Garmin initial product line (GNS V2 - done, GTN - done, G600/500 - almost done). I've some creative ideas I'd like to explore for this.
