August 24, 20187 yr I was looking at the RNAV East approach chart before my flight. As I checked the descent map thingy, I discovered that after crossing waypoint WI613 at above 5750 feet, there is no exact altitude to descend to except for descent gradient of 6,1%. Is there any way to calculate which altitude to descent to before following the PAPI lights or am I getting this all wrong and I'm supposed to follow the PAPI light after crossing WI613? Sameer Mohammad 😃 Chart

Sameer Mohammad 😃 Chart Well, your next stop is the runway elevation at 1894 feet and the chart on the right side bottom has speed and descent rates listed 140kts and 860 feet per minute as guidance. You’ll have to monitor your speed, descent rate and watch the PAPI lights. You may have to fly the approach a few times to get used to it but the chart has plenty of guidance as far as speed/rate of descents needed to follow the descent path.
