Hello everyone,

I have a very dissapointing problem, and I hope someone could help me with it.

I recently bought the PMDG 777 base pack online, and it was the disc edition. I have used it for a couple of months now, and today i tought I was ready for the 777-300ER expansion package, and bought it. During the installation of the expansion pack, the installer told me to update the base pack, so that is what I tried to do. However, when I inserted the disk and tried to install the SP1, it tells me to install the original release of fsx. I assume it means the normal version of FSX and not FSX-SE. Installing the SP via the PMDG website also does not work, because I do not have an account at PMDG with the 777 base pack installer. 

 

Does anyone know a solution to my problem?

I do not own any of the boxed versions of PMDG products but I was under the impression all PMDG products are updated via the PMDG Operations Center.  When you run the Operations Center, it will look for all products installed and update them accordingly. 

When I looked up how to update the 777 in the first place, I came across a topic on this forum that said you have to update the PMDG product via the pmdg website. The update through the OC does not work. 

Or is there a way to update the products through the OC?
