Prepar3D v4.3 black screen with PTA

Featured Replies

Hello, and I've recently gotten Prepar3D v4.3!

So with that, I got PTA 2.62.

I used a preset from:

http://download1498.mediafire.com/67d7oaknu6dg/ipbeoyo84pz4xn7/Chris.O+Presets.rar

And, I applied the preset using PTA and it applied with no problem.

But, when I load P3D, there's no preview of the aircraft, and after loading a flight, the screen is black.

This has happened to me with other presets, and the only presets that didn't have this was Matt Davie's preset.

It's taking way too long, but, I can hear engine sound and click sounds, but the game is displayed as black.

I can go around this by using the default P3D shaders by restoring default shaders in PTA, but the whole reason I got PTA was to have good shaders!

The default shaders are "good" shaders. PTA just uses different settings to change the visuals. It doesn't make them any "better" just different. If you like what you see that's good, if not....

As far as your problem - be sure the presets are for the correct version.

Contact the person who made the presets.

Since Matt's presets apparently work it's not PTA but the presets. You can try asking this in the PTA support forum here:

And don't be to impatient: if I rebuild my shaders using PTA, it can take up to 2 mins until I see something after P3D fired up (sounds are displaying). In the beginning of my PTA usage, I also thought that something was broken, but I simply did not wait long enough.
