September 8, 20187 yr Hello guys, I am clueless of the following. I installed P3D on a new pc. I cant get above 19 FPS on average settings of p3d. I am using GTX 1060 6GB video card. My processor AMD FX -8320 eight core processor at 4.2 ghz. & 16GB RAM memory I have standard settings of p3d so nothing special. it looks like something is not correctly set on my pc or settings I hope you can help me out! t thanks
September 8, 20187 yr While the FX 8320 might have 8 cores it’s single threaded performance still significantly slower than a 4770k which is 5 year old processor. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+FX-8320+Eight-Core&id=1782 Given this there’s probably not much “wrong” with your setup, it’s just the platform your running is the limitation. September 8, 20187 yr Commercial Member Have you tried deleting the Shaders folder and allowing P3D to rebuild it? This function is also included in the Lorby P3D Addon Organizer (in the tools tab). Best wishes. Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
September 8, 20187 yr Author Okay I will try to delete shaders folder. Previously, I had a gtx 660ti graphics card, and I did have better performance. Maybe it has to do with combination of my processor which is a little bit older than the graphics card i have now. thank you your help is most welcome
