New here and OBS issue

Featured Replies

Hello

I've already started using the forums but though I'd officially introduce myself.

I'm Danny, from the north west of the UK. Always been into civil aviation, frequent visitor at Manchester Airport's viewing park.

I'm just starting out with FSX SE, bought a Thrustmaster joystick and a couple of scenery add-ons. Enjoying the learning and freedom that Flight Sim brings. I realise there are better software packages out there but thought FSX SE was a good starting point and to be honest, I'm really enjoying it!

I would like to stream to my YT channel but have had a few failed attempts with OBS. I've watched YT tutorials to solve the issue of black screen in full screen mode but I'm getting nowhere.

Can anyone shed any light on how to work around this?

The following shows you how to make video content from FSX-SE - https://fsxinsider.com/how-to-capture-video-content-in-fsx-steam-edition/.  Think many use shadowplay.

Not sure if OBS Studio will record FSX-SE.  I'm sure someone else familiar with video recordings can help you.

Apologize if this is not what you are looking for.  Your comments are all in tech code for me and you appear to be YT literate.

Try using the Window Capture mode in OBS.  Game capture has some issues.

Best wishes.
