They never made one...

When I was taking my very first flying lesson the FBO at Commodore Center in Sausalito California had a Piaggio 136.  It was a twin engine amphibian and they used it to fly charters to Lake Tahoe and Clear Lake.  It's a beautiful airplane.  But to my knowledge it has never been modeled for any flight simulator.

The land version, the Piaggio 166, is available for FSX.  But I would dearly like to find the 136.  I had an opportunity to fly in once when they took it out of the hangar for a test flight after some maintenance.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Hi Noel. Is the Piaggio 166 freeware or payware? I couldn’t find it on the SimMarket, PCAviator or Flight Sim Pilot Shop websites and a search for it in the Avsim library also drew a blank. I did however find some other very nice looking Piaggio aircraft developed by Mario Noriega in the library including an FSX native PD808. I used to have the PD808 in FS9 and it was quite a nice bit of freeware and something a little different from the usual business jets so I might give this FSX version a try later today.

Piaggio certainly didn’t follow the pack in terms of aircraft design with some very quirky looking products - could be fun trying them!

It's freeware on Perfect Flight Bill.  Nice looking aircraft with twin pushers.  It's FSX/P3D.

Just Google FSX Piaggio 166 and it'll come right up.
