A Few Early Problems

Hi,

Just working through the Tutorial flight for the 747-8 and having some small early problems.

1. When I try to enter the ZFW of 520.0, it wont allow me to enter at LSK 2 and I get an "invalid Entry" prompt on the FMC Scratch Pad.

2. Im not getting any cockpit warning notification sounds, TOC, RAAS etc etc?

3.Sometimes when moving to external views (Chaseplane) the autopilot disconnects?

Any thoughts on these please please?

1. Are your displays set to KG or LBS?

2. Is RAAS turned on as an aircraft option? Not sure what TOC is.

3. Do you have your A/P disconnect mapped to the same function as your Chaseplane hotkeys?

1. Are you sure your aircraft is set to Lbs? If it is set to Kgs then the CDU won't accept 520 because it's 70t above MTOW...

2. Is RAAS enabled in the EQUIPMENT options?

Is it showing under the add-on menu (as in, it it successfully running with the sim) ? Ensure the RAAS master switch is enabled (in the RAAS configuration menu). L

3. Whatever key you are using for Chaseplane external views, is conflicting with the autopilot disconnect key assignment. Change the assignment in the FMC keyboard shortcuts menu.

Very helpful and much appreciated.

1. I was indeed on Kg by mistake! 🙄

2. RAAS enabled in Equipment OK . will investigate further.

 Trying to locate FMC keyboard assignment location currently.... 😣

3. Autopilot Cut Off was indeed set to Chaseplane preset! 😳

Also - Cant find switch for lower EICAS display. Give me a clue coz I'm going cross eyed! 😖
