September 30, 20187 yr Hi i've just bought the PC12 and can't get it to autoland for some reason. I like to have the option and I can with everything else. It doesn't seem to want to engage with the glide slope but it does with the localiser. I couldn't find anything in the manual about it. What does the arm light mean? Many thanks
November 13, 20187 yr The arm light means that the A/P has captured the Localizer but yet to reach the glide slope. Whether this is captured may depend if you are at an altitude within the glide slope zone. If the glide slope is not captured after the arm light comes on will most likely mean you were too high/low for tge glide slope to lock. If I don’t know the correct capture altitude for a given Airport I use 2000ft AGL which seems to work.
