October 9, 20187 yr Hi, I can assign the launch of the "floating" menu (see 1st screenshot below) to a key. Is it possible to assign the direct launch of the Chase Plane window to a key (see 2nd screenshot below), to "avoid" the "floating" menu? FS2024
October 9, 20187 yr Commercial Member Not sure I understand.. you want to assign a button to bring up the interface? Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
October 9, 20187 yr Author Right Keven. I could assign a key to bring up what is in the 1st screenshot. In this case I have to make one click on "Open Chase Plane". I woud like to assign a key to bring up directly what is in the 2nd screenshot. FS2024
October 9, 20187 yr Commercial Member Search for Toggle UI in the Control Assignments Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
October 9, 20187 yr Author Found. I assigned the "grave" key (not used by P3D or other) to "Toogle UI". Then when I minimize Chase Plane and hit the grave key, the UI will not show on top in P3Dv4. FS2024
October 9, 20187 yr Commercial Member It will only work when the simulator is in focus. Have you tried other controls? Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
October 10, 20187 yr Author "other controls": you mean assign another key or a joystick button? FS2024
October 10, 20187 yr Author I tried to assign a joystick button but the app refuses to take that into account. I tried to assign another keyboard key but the result is the same: when the simulator is not in focus it does not work. I'll just forget this and use the Toggle View Selector and make a click to access the UI. FS2024
October 10, 20187 yr Commercial Member Toggle View Selector is the same, it will not work if the sim is not focused. For the assignment, you tried to assign a button in the button column or in the key column? Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
October 10, 20187 yr Author I assigned Toggle UI to a joystick button in the button column. The program accepted it. However, by pressing the joystick button, the UI does not display, even if the simulator has focus. And the same if I assign Toggle UI to a key, it does not work even if the simulator has focus. The Toggle View Selector assigned to the grave key works if the simulator has focus. So in the end, to display the UI, I will: 1) Press the grave key to display the Toggle View Selector 2) Click on Open Chase Plane It's one more click but not the end of the world!
