hello folks out there im wondering how you use the prtScrn button on your keyboard to print whats on your monitor while your flying, you know i want to take a snapshot of your favorite landing.Thanks............Robert

Hi,It copies one screen onto your clipboard and then you open a program such as Paint and paste it. There are many screen capturing utilities out there that make this much easier. The only problem using the method suggested is that if you want to take multiple images, you must first stop flying and save the image as suggested, then return to flying and take and save another image and so forth. Another program that allows you to take multiple images without having to stop and save each screenshot separately is called "Snapshooter", found here on AVSIM. snapshooter211_ful_142855.zipJim

FSScreen is fantastic! Just place the .exe in any folder, start it, and each time you press PrtScn in fs a picture is placed in the very same folder :-).Eagle

I use a program called snapper. Really easy and has some good features. It will overlay text showing your location if you check that feature off. All you have to do is create a screenshot folder in "my documents" and have the program save the shots there.Try googling it... if you cannot find it pm me and I will send you the file.Cheers,

PrtScrn hasn't actually printed the screen since end of the DOS days. :) As others have said it copies the screen image to the clipboard. (Well, most of the time, there are some programs that don't let it work right, but that's neither here nor there.) If you press Alt+PrtScrn you'll get a clipboard copy of the current program's window rather then the entire screen, which in some cases may save a little time cropping. :)As far as making screen caps from FlightSim (or anything else) I use FSScreen to capture images, and GIMP (www.gimp.org) to edit them as needed. FSScreen's about as simple as it gets, and in my opinion, GIMP is the poor man's Photoshop. :) GIMP can grab images from the Windows clipboard or take it's own screenshots from some programs where PrtScrn might not work."Let me help you out.
