'Radar Contact'.... recommended?

If your airline is not there, or it is still not pronounced - visit their support forum - they have a section for people to request new words / phrases.

I usually fly RC (IFR) or FS ATC (VFR) from the beginning to end. There are other walk-around methods, so you can use RC in flight and FS ATC on the ground, but I personally wouldn't bother with it. Generally, it's either RC or FS ATC.

You can cancel enroute or approach IFR closing RC. You will be told to squawk 1200 and radar service terminated. You can also bring up the RC application and just quit.As for picking up FS ATC at what point? I'm not familiar with attempting to join it in the air. For ground services you just open the ATC menu.

All that I can say is... GET IT! Worth every penney. As a real-world pilot and flight instructor Radar Contact is the best ATC-IFR simulator out there.I use it with every IFR flight in MSFS.I like to use the silent pilot WAVS so that I can actually respond to ATC in my own voice. This makes the IFR flight experience much more realistic.I will warn you though that if you are not an avid IFR pilot, it will take some time to get used to RC4. But it is worth every minute of that time for much increased realism.Happy Simming / Flying!Scott :-)ATP/CFII/DA20 Type Rated - Instructor Pilot - USAFA (KAFF), Colorado Springs, CO & at KCOSAOPA #00956593, since 1987Background in Corporate, Airline, and General AviationB.S. Scott, I recall that you mentioned this silent pilot WAVs before (think I saw a post at the RC forum) and was curious: Do you mean you use speech recognition or just that you respond out loud to yourself for the practice? I might try that.
