Only concern, will it impact fps negatively?  I'd hate to upgrade to 11.30 only to find that out.  Only thing I want it for are the contrails, and I am surprised a particle system is required to change them to white.

It might be ok on fps for contrails i guess , thing is there is no data about how vulkan would perform, DCS has  amazing water and contrails with 0-3/5 fps impact that being a DX11 engine.

Hmm, don't think it has anything to do with the color, it's more on how close to real would the contrails look..  using this system for clouds might get heavy on the fps. Would be good also for the heat haze , exhaust.

Let's wait for 11.30 and see what it feels like.

My vulkan ready card is getting jumpy each day 11.30 is delayed.

One thing, Austin and the rest of the Xplane devs have certainly given me return on investment with their upgrades.  Their adding of the Aerolight 103 was worth money to me, having a perfectly modeled Ultralight, best ever in any sim I have flown, even modeled better than my trike for FS2002-P3DV4.  Their attention to detail with the Aerolight was amazing, and I have seen many real world fabric ultralights up close and have flown in fabric microloghts like the Rans.
