Saitek radio panel switches sticking/jamming

Recommended Posts

Following an extended simming layoff a year or so ago, I found that my Saitek radio panel selector switches were very difficult to turn.  Even with semi-regular use, things have progressively worsened to the extent that I now have to leave the top selector on NAV1, and make the lower radio work for all other choices.  However the second switch, thought not initially as bad as the first, is now getting progressively worse as well.  After the unexpected luck I had with clearing up my throttle quadrant spiking, I tried spraying contact cleaner around the edges of the switch hoping it would penetrate.  Unfortunately, the magic didn't happen.

Anyone else have this problem and have any luck solving it?

Scott

Google "saitek gorilla knobs" for lots of suggestions!
