All PMDG Aircraft Yoke Banking

Hello,

First of all, I have searched many forums for this and have tried everything and can't find a fix. Every few flights or so my yoke on only the PMDG aircraft will bank slightly to either the right or left. I have no idea what this is. I have the saitek pro flight yoke and have tried resetting multiple options through both fsuipc and others and nothing has worked. I've even tried my old joystick instead of my yoke and nothing has changed. All of my other aircraft work fine so I believe this is possibly a PMDG problem. 

If someone could get back on this that would be fantastic!

Hi Brian!

I never ever got this problem with the MD11 or the 777. I use presently the Hotas Warthog with fsx and P3d set up, works like a charm as it did with my previous X52. I know it doesn't help and I hope you will find the culprit!

I've never seen this, and if this were actually a PMDG problem, you'd see many similar reports, but this isn't the case.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

Could it have anything to do with flight duration?

Another possibility is that you have a key on your computer inadvertently mapped to two different things, one of those being the aileron trim, or even the ailerons themselves.

I should add, this happened to me as well. For some reason, the keyboard assignments kept going back to default without me doing anything, so I had keys mapped to different views in Chaseplane as well as to the controls. Wrought havoc for a while until I figured out what was happening.

It does however only happen when I'm around an hour through my flight. . I've even tried with just mouse and keyboard and it still does it.

My question was re:are you hitting that one hour mark in non-PMDG aircraft?

The only issues I have had with a Saitek product based on timescale were with a Saitek panel, which would go dark. It was plugged into the USB port built into my Saitek Pro Cessna yoke.  That issue was caused by Windows Advanced Power Management, which after much fraught I learned may have been reducing power or shutting off power to the device after what it determined was a period of inactivity.  There are related topics here in the Flight Controllers forum.  There are small apps that patch Windows Registry entries for Saitek devices, and it's also recommended to check settings for your Saitek devices in Control Panel, Device Manager, Human Interface Devices.  Locate for instance your yoke and check Properties, Advanced, and see if there is a power management checkbox there.  If so, unselect it.

It's a stab at it, but pretty simple steps and worth trying.

Good thinking. I have the panel. Let me see what I can do about USB Power Management with that

Do a search for "SaitekUSBFix.zip" for one example of an app. But do both.  App and Control Panel, Device Manager settings.

Do you observe this behaviour of the yoke (and thus, the aircraft) when AP is engaged or when hand flying?
