Autopilot Issues

Recommended Posts

Having trouble with the auto pilot not staying engaged.  It keeps disengaging around 2 miles out from dep. I've not had this problem in the past.  PMDG, send a message, said reinstall this plane for updates.  So I uninstalled/reinstalled. Still not working. Anyone have a solution. I know the fms very well. I've had this plane back when I was using Steam.  It may just be I'm missing a procedure. Thanks

Hello,

What is displayed on the FMA when the autopilot disconnects?

Is there any possibility that you are pressing a button or moving an axis that is assigned to any flight control (like typing while one key is assigned to the trim for instance)?

Or maybe one of your hardware sends spike being mistakenly interpreted as a move of a flight control.

Additionally check that only one hardware axis is assigned to the related axis in the sim. FSX and P3D both assign axes to all hardware axes they can find...

btw: calling a thread „747“ makes little sense as it isn‘t telling about what‘s inside. Better call it „747 autopilot keeps disengaging“ or so... people will be aware of your issue when browsing the forum and can help faster..
