November 2, 20187 yr Should one expect to be told to climb to FL170 when the maximum altitude in the route is FL130? It makes a difference, since I'm flying a Cessna. Thanks.
November 2, 20187 yr Commercial Member You will get climb instructions to the Cruise altitude that was in the flight plan when you pressed FILE. If you change the flight plan after filing, ATC knows nothing about it.
