this is new install of the Mindstar GNS for FSX Steam

in a reset Windows 10.

i assume that the Win 10 is up to date.

i cannot uninstall the GNS since MS installer won't allow that.

Ok... is there a reason you did not let our software install to it's default location of "Program Files (x86)"?  I am assuming that you didn't based on the path in your first post.

Also, why won't MS allow you to uninstall?

k.

I installed there for easier access and

also because of past problems with

permissions.

I cannot uninstall because

"C:WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

MSI issues were the reason I changed from FSX cd install to steam.

this has all been in a reset Win 10.

I have been informed that your issue has been resolved.  FYI to others... the FSX:Steam Edition does not install SimConnect by default.  It is up to you to locate the installers (they are in your FSX install) and run them to get SimConnect installed on your system.
