I was wondering if anyone has replaced the default lightning effects with some of the new ones found here in the library. Are they better than the default effects? If it is better that the default then which one is the best? Some of the new lightning effects file namesfslightn.zipwhitelightnin.zip

I guess no one tried these files? I was hoping to get a review before I tried them out.

Well, i don't know exactly if this is what you're talking about, but i downloaded "Airport Environment Upgrade 7" from avsim.com yesterday and just finished my trip to Barajas airport, Madrid, Spain with my level-D 767, foggy and night-time. Now, i was always excited with various addons from time to time but the moment i saw the airport on approach i almost got out of my sit by excitement! I've tried a couple of "must tries", and ended up removing everyone of them because it seemed to make things worse.Just make sure you backup your files before you try any.

Yes I have tried a number of the replacement lightning sets and to varying degrees are an improvement over the default which is just plain awful. Certainly worth a try.Bruceb
