Black Taxiways and Ramp Areas

Featured Replies

Recently I've noticed that taxiways and ramp areas at stock airports all over the world are now black instead of the default textures I saw originally with P3Dv4. This is true on the ground and inflight. I can see pavement markings around the gates, though. I've had lots of ORBX, and pay ware scenery products installed for a long time, and never saw this before. I can't think of anything I did that caused this to happen, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I'm hesitant to start moving items up and down in the scenery list for fear of making things worse. I've tried to find related posts, but the ones that I do find that are somewhat similar, offer conflicting ideas on how to fix the problem. So, what works for one guy may cause additional problems for the other guy. Anyone else seeing this sort of anomaly? Thanks.

Try opening up FTX Central, wait about a minute, then start up P3D and see if that fixes it.  Sometimes ORBX scenery needs to reactivate itself, which it does each time you run FTX Central.

I tried that and saw that FTX was activating the ORBX scenery, but I still have solid black taxiways with no markings, and most ramp areas are the same solid black at all default airports. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
