FS9 Aircrafts in FSX (Missing views) in the Beta

Featured Replies

Hello Manny:I am afraid I am a bit confused.First of all, I have not had my preordered Retail version delivered yet, nor do I have a Beta. I am operating out of the second trial version. I realize that this may or may not have the same characteristics as the Beta, but thought I would see if I could get ahead of the game in preparation for delivery of my order. Anyway, for what it is worth. One strange thing to me is that I get various results depending on which aircraft I try to copy, although I thought all had similar characteristics (that I have tried)1. I simply copy my FS9 aircraft into the FSX directory.2. I thought I was reading in other posts that the FS9 gauges were to be imported to the individual aircraft panel folders. I assume I read this incorrectly as anytime I try this I get the old MS window telling me that FSX must shut down, do I want to send a report. I put them into the root gauge folder, and they seem to show up (some of the time at least, see the following).2. I tried copying the Aeroworx B200 King Air, and edited my model.cfg as you recommended. I get all liveries with the cockpit (2D) panel just fine, but do not ever see the VC.3. I tried the Eaglesoft Citation X. Before I move the gauges, as expected I see a panel, but without any gauges. (I think it is the VC but now that I think about it, I am not sure - could be the 2d panel). After I move my gauges, all I ever get is a black half window where the panel should show up for 2d and no panel at all for vc.4. Copied the twin Bonanza. Exactly the opposite of the King Air. I have the VC, but no 2D Cockpit.Hopefully with the delivery of the retail deluxe package, all of this will be academic, but does anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong. Thanks:RTH
