FS9 Aircrafts in FSX (Missing views) in the Beta

Featured Replies

I am importing FS9 aircraft into the FSX Beta. But I can only switch between externalviews. I cannot getinto the 2d or the VC Cockpit views of these FS9 aircrafts in the FSX Beta.I did not have a problem with the FSX DemoI thought I saw a thread or a post somewhere here talking about this issue and the solution was to add a couple of entry in the cfg. I can't seem to find it.Any ideas what those entries are or can someone point me to the post that talked about this issue.Thanks.Manny

That didn't seemto fix it Bill.It gave me the 2D interior and I didn't have an external model. I had an invisible aircraft flying around.:)Manny

Sorry guys, I've lost the plot with this one.Take any FS9 aircraft with a VC available in FS9. There is normally one .mdl (unless a no VC model has been created).Put it in FSX beta and add the 'interior' line. For me this seems to do nothing other create a message when loading the aircraft that the model cannot be loaded. All of the new FSX beta aircraft have .mdl and _interior.mdl so I can see why it works for them. The FS9 aircraft work in the Demo because there seems to be no requirement for a separate interior model.I know I am missing something but not sure what.

Manny, I have the Aeroworx King air installed in the beta. When I click on any of the icons to bring up subpanels or use shift+num to bring them up I lose the main panel. Any ideas? Craig

Never mind..figured it out. It's either shift+w or w.Now if I could just get the localizer to work.Craig

So far I have not had any problems in the Retail version with adding FS9 aircraft. All of my VC's have worked with no problem, in fact for alot of them I am getting better FPS with the VC than the 2D. All buttons and gauges apear correctly as long as you move the gauges over. VC's work great in FSX and I am starting to really love to fy in them.Note: One thing that took me a little while to figure out was how to swap between the VC and 2D panels. I finnally read a little and realized that you have to push the "A" key to swap between them instead of the "S" key as in previouse versions.

Thanks, that is good to know. It worked okay in the original demo but not the beta.
