I can not even open the Trainer and the screen is black in the cockpit. And when I try to install the trainer it gives a 1603 error.

Now, I'm sorry for the unfortunate out-the-box experience. This install error sounds like a system-related issue of some sort.

To get started, just typing "msi error 1603" in google gives:

I'd suggest you patiently follow through the links provided in this discussion to first solve the error 1603.

The 1603 error is normally associated with permissions.  There are solutions on the Internet for fixing permission errors.
