In what engine is Flight made?

Featured Replies

As the title says, I wonder in what engine is Flight made and can we somehow get that engine so we can develop our own content or it's still owned and kept by Microsoft? They don't use it anyway, right? Or it's held by another developer studio which I haven't heard of yet? Anyone has info?

Thanks!

Flight was its own bespoke engine, a heavy evolution of Microsoft FSX/ESP.

The engine belongs to Dovetail Games now.

Does DTG plan to make something new finnaly? Maybe it's even better that we don't get any flight sim from them again. They robbed gamers with Flight Sim World and cancelled it. I guess I (We) will stick to MS Flight. It's still best compared to all.
