Version 1.0 P3D 4.3 Problem with gross weight

Featured Replies

When I initially load the Falcon, the engines are running, and all systems are powered. If I bring up the SHIFT-3 loading config menu in this state, and change the fuel load, passenger loading or baggage, the aircraft gross weight changes in step.

However, if I then choose the "all systems off" option from the Shift-1 menu, then re-power the aircraft using the APU, the loading config menu no longer changes gross weight with fuel changes. Whether I select full, medium or light fuel loads, the gross weight on the config screen does not change at all. The gross weight does change when adding or deleting passengers or luggage, but it appears the fuel loading loses connection to the total gross weight after choosing the unpowered systems option.

In this state, although the gross weight does not change on the config menu, the actual fuel quantity in the tanks does change when selecting light, medium or full fuel loads.

UPDATE:

I just tried again. This time, I did not select the "all systems off" option. Instead, I fired up the APU, tied the bus, and shutdown the engines. Once the engines were fully spooled down, once again the gross weight on the SHIFT-3 screen would not change with changes in fuel loading. It seems to only function when the engines are running. I confirmed this by re-starting the engines. Once they were all running, changes in fuel load would once again change the gross weight on the SHIFT-3 config screen.

Jim -- Mark has fixed this, the engines no longer have to be running for the Gross Weight display to update.
