Chaseplane and A2A

Featured Replies

Hello Support

We can not operate button and switches if Chaseplane is running with A2A CESSNA 172 within FSX.

Here a small description we have sent to A2A support.

Herewith the new investigation for the non working switches and buttons.

1. We stopped Chaseplane working after loading A2A-172 and we tried to use standard view withint the FSX.

2. If we want to use the standard cockpit view which have (Chaseplane) within the view name we can not operate those button and switches.

3. If we choose the FSX instruments view (not a chaseplane view and chaseplane is off) we can operate all buttons and switches as usual.

In order to startup engine and operate the buttons we changed the FSX instruments view to a standard cockpit view to able to see the runway and to fly.

Its 100.00 % known that the Chaseplane software causes this problem.

Keven may I ask you to help to solve this problem. How can we delete only the A2A CESSNA172 within the Chaseplane menue.

I think we should add fresh A2A CESSNA camera positing structure.

I just want to confirm , if we switch of Chaseplane and only use the instrument view we are able to manage all buttons and switches.

If we use the cockpit view which have added the Chaseplane name right side of the cockpit view name  (top of the view selection menue of FSX)

the button and switches are not working.

Hope for help from the Old Prop Solution experts.

Hello Keven

I still waiting for your support.

Have you tried moving the chase plane view forward a little? It is a well known fsx issue with every plane that if your view gets somehow INSIDE a VC object such as a seat back then no buttons work. It's easy to test this with or without chase plane by simply moving viewpoint forward and backwards.

Hello  Russell

Thanks for support. I tried already but could not find a proper viewpoint.

I will try again.

We tried to move the Cockpit forward and backwards with different positions but we could not find a proper result.

Button and switches can only be operated if Chaseplane is not opened.

I hope Keven is reading my post and have a chance to offer a solution for this problem.

Are you able to use the gauges on non-A2A aircraft?

Are the gauges working if ChasePlane is not running BUT while still using the ChasePlane cameras in sim?

Hello Keven

We made additional trials as follows:

1. All other aircraft except the A2A CESSNA 172 button and switches works.

2. We used A2A CESSNA  after a fresh installation of the A2A CESSNA and without Chaseplane all buttons  and switches works.

3. After this fresh A2A CESSNA installation and with a new Chaseplane installation and running, still the buttons are not working.

4. We also tried to made  the cameras inactive within the aircraft.cfg with // for each camera but still no buttons and switches can be operated.

In a other step I will try to deactivate the Chaseplane cameras within the camera.cfg located in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

I think this will end my knowledge about the possible fault sources which interupts the button and switches in the A2A CESSNA.

regards Roger
