Cloud ground shadows too dark in v4.2 with latest ENVDIR

Featured Replies

I just updated to the latest ENVDIR 2.6.  I made some adjustments then uploaded them to Prepar3D V4.4. Now when I have clouds casting shadows, Its way too dark and the ground looks way too unrealistically dark.  Prior to the update, it did not do that. Now I have to turn off the cloud shadows.  I tried some suggestions found on various forums but to no avail.Maybe I should remove this addon altogether? Has anyone had this problem and if you fixed it, what was the fix? I don't use PTA anymore nor any REX products. Thanks

P.S. Here is a screen shot -

You should ask this at TOGA forum. I use Envshade as well but i don't have the impression the shadows are too dark. Did you mess around with HDR settings, did you delete the shaders anytime?

I already tried that and no help. Did not mess with and HDR settings.

I use Envshade and like it a lot. However, while it is meant to be a plug n play shader mod, I still think it would be extremely helpful to have a handful of adjustments in a simple GUI that would allow the operator to adjust some of the more important aspects of lighting according to their liking. Cloud shadows and cloud brightness would be the first two things that spring to mind. It would be a shame to offer too many options as that would defeat the whole concept of Envshade, but as I say, just a handful of simple to operate options, I believe would be a helpful addition.
