I notice that I do NOT have and ADDON Scenery "SCENERY" folder.  I remember one when I used FSX, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to have one in P3d 4.4.  

Tell me, do you have a "scenery" folder under ADDON Scenery in P3d?   If so, How do I re-establish one in my P3d folder?  All my scenery seems to work, but I suspect I'm missing something....like some important bgl's.

Well... or the fact that while scenery can be added in this manner, it's far better to add it how LM suggests!

If you just can't help but use it, then create the Scenery folder and solider on!  It will still work.

Have you read any of the P3D guides on Scenery?  I believe Elaine wrote the best one I've seen.

 

EDIT:  I'll add... the way you want to add scenery was never the best or recommended manner, even with FSX.
