FSX observation

Featured Replies

I was able to take a closer look at the aircraft in FSX and noticed something. When I put the brakes on the tires will lock up. I haven't looked through any of the CFG files but does the sim now recognize between rolling friction and static friction?

Thats what I was wondering too because I can get some massive slides out of the baron.

>Thats what I was wondering too because I can get some massive>slides out of the baron.Looking at my video again, you can see it pretty clearly, especially in those tower views.http://www.laniercreative.com/brian/flightsim/rainfx.htmlI've also noticed that traction changes dramatically transitioning off the runway and back on. As a test, I was off-roading, spray flying up behind me, in the rain, but going in a relatively straight line. I could turn without getting too crazy, but I came onto the runway at speed and tried to turn, I started sliding sideways right back off the other side of the runway.Like someone said before...Don't ever ever fly with me. :(

Did anyone notice that the prop spray deflects to the right going in both directions on the runway? That means it is correctly blowing with the propeller's spiraling slipstream. I wonder if a plane with counter-rotating props will have the right engine's spray going to the left.

One other change I noticed in the Beaver, if you change your airplane registration number the number on the panel changes too.
