Reality XP GNS530w/430w in DC6

Hello all 

Is there a way to install it on a DC-6 .....I used the pull-down menu option installs but inside the default GNS screen and never works.......Also not activated to be selected at the PMDG options menu?  kindly help.....

FYI I installed perfectly on the Carenado B1900D and works fine

Hi,

I'm not sure to understand what the issue is exactly.

First, are you talking about the genuine Reality XP GNS V2 or the older RXP GNS WAAS product (legacy)?

Can you please clarify?

  1. Is 'pull-down menu option' the RXP GNS V2 Add-on Menu 'Panel Assistant' GUI?
  2. Is 'inside the default GNS' using the Panel Assistant 'Replace' function then selecting an auto-detected gauge in the panel?
  3. is 'never works' meaning there is no change to the panel (panel.cfg file) when you press the 'Accept' button?

Besides, it has been documented in the past: make a local copy of rxpGNS2.dll (installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\ ....) into the simulator gauge folder as 'rxpGNS.gau' (or .dll depending) and this will make any 3rd party aircraft config tool looking for the legacy gauge file to work. From then on, our GNS V2 includes a new technology, 'Gauge Name Alias', which automatically makes any panel.cfg gauge## entry with the older legacy name to work with our newest GNS V2.

Ok, you might want to download and install the latest v2.4.6 version then (see pinned discussion in this forum).

OK, sir, 

1- it's the P3D pull down "Add-ons" menu under Reality XP GNS then Setup aircraft, it gives me three options, 1- Configure the reality XP GNS window or 2- Replace gauge with Reality XP GNS (auto detect) or 3- Restore PMDG DC-6b......(auto back) in which I select number 2 option 

I select number 2

The two other question I m working on it

Ok, there is no option in the assistant to do this in the 2D panel because it is not needed usually.

 Best solution: make the necessary edits to remove their 'static' bitmap and have the GNS V2 gauge display over the entire popup window. Bonus: you'll get much better GNS bezel graphics (Reality XP's) and advanced mouse handling!

Quick and dirty solution:

spot the differences between the two entries above and this should be self-explanatory. Just add the 5th param to make the bezel disappear.
